UPDATE April 3, 2020:
Shelter in Place Order Issued, Construction Deemed Essential
Governor Ivey issued a Shelter in Place order for all Alabamians. The order restricts movement of people to all but essential activities. Allowed movement will be for things like going to the grocery store, pharmacy, or doctor, or those working in essential businesses. Construction is included in the list of essential businesses, as are hardware stores, suppliers, real estate activities, banking, property management/maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other trade activities. Dear HMCBA Members,
We want you to know that we are thinking about you, your employees, your family members and your companies during this strange time we are living in. If we, as your association, can help you out, please do not hesitate in contacting us - we are here to help. We are in constant contact with the Home Builders Association of Alabama voicing our concerns to keep the home building industry open, because it is such an important part of the economic engine of the city, county and state. When we hear vital information, we will relay it to you.
Many of our meetings over the next couple of weeks has been postponed, but we anticipate going back to “normal” soon. Please continue to read the HMCBA Membership Memo every Monday for important information. Again, if we can be of any assistance to you, please don’t hesitate in contacting us. We have reduced our office hours, but we are available for calls, emails and texts.
Wishing you the best and praying that we get back to normal business soon.
